Stacie-Mallen-withCampusLogicon-Phoenix-Business-RadioXBeing called a Rebel, Troublemaker and Entrepreneur all mean the same thing to Stacie Mallen: you are doing your job if you are pushing your organization toward change, growth and purpose. After spending her 20 year career in a progression of successful start-up companies as well as leading a large scale team in a Fortune 50 company, she quickly realized that she was not capable of
“blending in”. Now specializing in leading cultural revolution for high growth companies, she constantly absorbs, writes and speaks about the tangible actions that leaders can take to build a purpose driven/values based company that also drives top line growth while exhibiting bottom line stewardship. Currently Stacie is the Chief People Officer for the High Growth Ed Tech
company CampusLogic, contributor to Forbes Magazine, Published Author, and Speaker.

Leading a dual life has always been an integrated part of Stacie’s path as she has been coaching, teaching and leading fitness and wellness programs for over 25 years. In 2003, back before wellnesswehlepschools was “hip” she was asked to combine her love of culture and wellbeing leading efforts for Caremark to lead initiatives to change habits for employees. Since that time, she has launched programs at
every organization as an element of cultural evolution. Wellbeing integrates the work of self into every aspect of the People practice making people more aware as they lead, develop and grow their organizations. Recently she and her husband launched a new concept in fitness, Blue Republic, that takes 20 years of her practical application to help achieve true integration of wellbeing in the
lives of clients.

James Kawainui is chronic pain specialist known as the Native Hawaiian Healer whose family lineage can be traced back over 20 generations in Old Hawaii. Seventeen years ago, in a moment of clarity and awakening, and after hearing a voice that said, “It’s time to go home!” James walked away from the “corporate world” his life permanently changed. He quit his job, sold just about everything he owned and moved back to Hawaii and lived in a shack on the beach for three years. He spent his days listening to the sound of the ocean and being awakened at night by the songs of the whales. “I emptied my mind and though I didn’t realize it at the time, I was learning how to Listen and Surrender.”

Through listening, he learned that his Kupuna (kuu – puu – na) (ancestors) had been talking to him for a very long time. Using the knowledge gifted to him through his ancestors, James works with people both in person and remotely. James is an expert in the elimination of chronic pain. “I help people release physical, mental, or emotional pain and create lasting and life changing results.” His process is unique and works outside of the conventional medical model. James works with people all over the world to help them find their joy and purpose and live pain free lives.

In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy explains the truth behind magnets and pain relief. There is little scientific evidence to support the use of magnets to help with pain relief or help with arthritis pain. Lots of anecdotal evidence to support it though. Their is overwhelming evidence though that magnets are great to hang things on your refrigerator.  And if you hang up a funny quote or funny cartoon that might make you smile and that laughter might help you relieve some of your pain.
