JonathanM-resizeJonathan B. Mason w/ Mason Law Group P.C.

Mason Law Group, P.C. was founded by Jonathan B. Mason. Jonathan is graduate of Howard University and Georgetown University Law Center. He began his legal career in 1992 as a litigator in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina office of a large regional law firm. In his early years, Jonathan worked on a variety of litigation matters for major corporations and insurance companies. As a young litigator, Jonathan was able to gain significant “hands-on” experience by handling motion hearings, depositions, bench trials and even jury trials. Jonathan experienced his “fifteen minutes of fame” in 1995 as a member of the team that represented a screenwriter who was subpoenaed to testify during the criminal trial of O.J. Simpson. That representation culminated in a nationally-televised court hearing opposite Johnnie Cochran and F. Lee Bailey.

Jonathan was introduced to entertainment law began with his representation of Luther Vandross and Sean “Diddy” Combs in separate litigation matters in North Carolina. Thereafter, he began representing “talent” in entertainment-related transactions. Jonathan relocated to Atlanta in November 1998 and became licensed to practice in Georgia in 1999. His practice has expanded to include representation of independent record labels, music producers, songwriters, production companies, concert promoters, visual artists, and fashion models. Jonathan’s practice also includes entertainment-related litigation, including royalty and commission disputes, copyright infringement, and trademark infringement matters.

Jonathan has also been involved in matters involving Rickey Smiley, the Estate of Wilson Pickett, Mothers Finest, Kirk Franklin, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Idris Elba, Mariah Carey, and T.I., among others. Although Jonathan enjoys working with well-known clients, the heart and soul of his practice is dedicated to assisting unsigned and emerging artists in positioning themselves to reach the next level, or advising start-up record labels and production companies on the legal issues associated with start-up entertainment companies.

  • Negotiated producer agreements between producers and artists such as  T.I., Rick Ross, Lloyd, Young Dro, Mario, Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, Ruben Studdard, Jennifer Holliday and many others

  • Negotiated synchronization and master use licenses with Universal Pictures, MGM and national advertisers including Microsoft and Hardees

  • Negotiated trademark co-existence agreement with multinational gaming company

  • Successfully defended comedian in commission dispute with manager

  • Negotiated appearance and materials releases for episode of  Unsung  on TVOne

Jonathan’s expertise in Entertainment Law landed him the position of Adjunct Professor at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where he developed a successful curriculum and taught Entertainment Law for several years.

SaraHSSara Khaki /The Khaki Law Firm

Sara Khaki, with The Khaki Law Firm, has lived in Georgia since 1996 when she moved to the United States from Europe. She received her undergraduate degree from Georgia State University, Summa Cum Laude, and went on to law school at University of Georgia School of Law. Since graduating from law school in 2008, Sara has devoted her legal practice solely to Social Security Disability. This is an area of law that is very close to her heart since she witnessed her mom suffer from cancer twice while Sara was a child and then a young adult; this truly opened her eyes up at a young age to the profound effect an individual’s health can have on the quality of life for an entire family.

As an attorney, Sara has represented over a thousand Social Security claimants throughout most of the southeast with a great success rate. She has represented claimants all the way from the initial application process through the U.S. District Court Appeals. She has extensive experience with working with the Social Security Administration, medical providers, educators, employers, and expert witnesses to gain a favorable outcome for her claimants.

Sara often gives presentations to different community organizations that serve the disabled so that she can offer health care providers and social workers more education on the rights of the disabled.

Sara Khaki is admitted to the Georgia State Bar and the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Georgia.  Sara is also an active member of NOSSCR (National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives), Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA), Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) and the Atlanta Bar Association.

ErinHSErin Elliott/ Law Office of Erin Elliott

Erin Elliott, with the Law office of Erin Elliott, focuses her practice 100% on immigration law. She represents individuals, families and companies in obtaining various temporary visas such as fiancé, student, trainee, entrepreneur and employment as well as permanent immigration through family and employers.

After attending Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, Erin continued her education at Loyola Law School in New Orleans.  Upon her graduation from law school, Erin returned to Atlanta and began her career at a national law firm where she specialized in business and corporate law for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small start-ups. While assisting such clients, she became aware of the difficulties in obtaining and keeping foreign worker employees. Also during this time, Erin met her Turkish husband and was personally exposed to the green card and naturalization process. Based on her experiences, Erin opened her own practice in 2011 to assist businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals in navigating the, often intimidating, U.S. immigration legal system.

Erin is an active member of AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) and volunteers weekly for Catholic Charities of Atlanta- Immigration Legal Services, which is a non-profit that provides assistance to immigrants, refugees and those seeking asylum in the United States.

Bill Grodnik
Bill Grodnik

Bill Grodnik with DaVinci Virtual Office Solutions and DaVinciMeetingRooms.com is special guest on Atlanta Legal Experts today.  As CEO of Davinci Virtual Offices and Davinci Meeting Rooms he is responsible for overseeing the growth and marketing strategy of both companies.  Mr. Grodnik was previously President of Davinci International, a business center operator in four western states.  Prior to creating the Davinci brand, Mr. Grodnik was President of HQ Business Centers of Arizona, where he held the franchise rights to the HQ Business Centers.  Mr. Grodnik has an extensive background in finance and Management and was previously the Chairman of Board and CFO of American Traffic Systems.  ATS was the first provider in the US of automated enforcement devices including Red Light and Speed Cameras. Mr. Grodnik earned a B.S (cum laude) in Business from Arizona State University.

Bill explains on the show that he originally worked for a privately held Executive Suite firm.  Due to the high demand of clients/prospects asking for locations outside the company’s area, Bill started to see the vision of the Virtual offices going global.  Years ago, it was necessary for professionals in the legal world to have a full-time office.  Now, with the ever changing society, most professionals/entrepreneurs are mobile, including Solo-practice firms and Law School Graduates starting their practice.  The high demand now is to meet the needs of the mobile worker.  So, Bill developed www.DaVinciVirtual.com.   He became partners with small Executive Suites firms like his all over the country and eventually the world to make this happen. It’s an easy site to find an address a place to meet your clients anywhere in the world.

A few years in, Bill began to see the need for more meeting space arise, hence the development of www.DaVinciMeetingRooms.com.  The mobile entrepreneur needs places to meet clients more than anything else.  The need for an address is big, but not as big as a place to work/meet your clients.  This website Bill developed addressed these particular needs for the modern professional.

To summarize, I believe the show focused on his ingenuity, vision, and success in helping meet the demand of the current market for attorneys and the simplicity of making it happen for them.
