 Danny has two decades of experience in the public and non-profit sectors with a focus on community & economic development. In his current position as Executive Director of Community Investment Corporation (CIC), a nonprofit local economic development organization and alternative lender, Danny launched a Social Impact Lending program which incentivizes community-minded borrowers through preferred rates and terms. CIC also helps nonprofit partners including the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, the YWCA, Catholic Community Services, Pio Decimo, and Local First Arizona, make loans to their clients in furtherance of their respective missions.   
  

As co-founder of Single Focus Web, a website development company he started with his wife, Cecily, Danny also brings the perspective of an entrepreneur to his work. He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University where captained the nationally ranked Division III men’s basketball team.  He holds masters’ degrees in City and Regional Planning and Business Administration from Rutgers University and the University of Arizona respectively. He was named one of Biz Tucson’s “40-Under-40” in 2007 for contributions to his profession and the community.  Following in the footsteps of his dad who was a lifelong educator, Danny was a kindergarten and middle school teacher early in his professional career, and to this day ranks middle school English teacher as the best job he ever had.

Kevin is one of the leaders at (TFS) Technicians for Sustainability which he helped co-found in 2003.  TFS is a mission-driven company specializing in renewable energy and sustainable technologies for residential and commercial settings.  TFS is a Tucson based, employee-owned cooperative that has also achieved the designation of a certified B Corp. 

 With a background as a neuroscientist and mountaineer, Kevin came to sustainability through his connection to nature. He believes in living symbiotically with his environment, which has led him to spend over eighteen years in the renewable energy field. He is NABCEP certified in Photovoltaics (PV). He and his family live with PV, solar hot water, and greywater systems.

Jeremy Neis is an Investment Advisor with Retirement Evolutions and a small business operator fueled by the desire to enrich the life experience. He grew up in the Chicago area and chased the sun to get a degree at the University of Arizona in human and organizational communications. Connor Kimball is the Sr. Marketing Manager at AVOXI, a global cloud telecom provider that services companies over 75 countries. Since taking over AVOXI’s inbound marketing efforts, the company has seen new customer acquisitions improve by over 500% in less than 12 months. In his own words, Connor is “obsessed” with all things SEO, content creation, and marketing strategy.

Originally from Southern California, Connor spent much of his childhood traveling between Newport Beach and Cobb County. Initially unsure of where he wanted to start his career, Atlanta became the obvious choice after he attended TechBridge’s Digital Ball, an annual fundraiser for Atlanta’s technology community, and became aware of this promising industry.

Baha Zeidan is the leading force behind new technology development and is responsible for driving the strategic direction for Azalea Health. In collaboration with his team, he ensures the company is on track to meet its product development, customer service, sales, and community goals.

He is a strong proponent of health IT, cloud computing, mobile development, device computing, and big data analytics. Zeidan proactively cultivates strategic relationships with partners and shareholders who can aid in the advancement of Azalea Health and its mission.

JoeyKlineJoey Kline is a Vice President at JLL, specializing in office brokerage and tenant representation. As an Atlanta native, he has a deep passion for promoting the economic growth and continued competitiveness of communities in and around Atlanta, as well as the Southeast as a whole. He has completed transactions in every major submarket of metro Atlanta, and works primarily with start-ups, advertising/marketing agencies, and publicly-traded companies. With a healthy mix of tenacious drive and analytical insights, Joey is a skilled negotiator who advises clients on a myriad of complex real estate matters.

With a strategy and business development background, Joey is first and foremost a pragmatic advisor to his clients. Most recently, he was the Director of Business Development for American Fueling Systems, an Atlanta-based alternative energy company. While at JLL, he has become a member of the Million Dollar Club, and has built a reputation as an expert on the intersection of transit-accessibility and urban real estate. With intimate involvement in site selection and planning/zoning concerns, Joey approaches real estate from the perspective of the end user, and thus possesses a unique lens through which to serve his clients.

Joey holds a Master of Business Administration from Emory University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis. Rainmaker Integrated was founded in 2008 on the belief that every client deserves to be treated like the only client and that strategic marketing campaigns should be available to organizations of all sizes, regardless of what the company’s budget limitations might be.

Her career spans more than 20 years in communications, having served on all sides of the marketing, public relations and advertising desk. Jackie began her career with the General Motors Corporation as a Communications Analyst and thereafter joined Grant Thornton L.L.P., one of the largest accounting firms in the U.S., as a Marketing Coordinator. She then went on to hold the position of Regional Manager of Public Relations for Macy’s Department stores in Nevada, where she led B2C marketing and public relations initiatives for several Macy’s locations.

Prior to establishing Rainmaker Integrated in the Phoenix market, Jackie held several senior level positions with three national agencies including Barclay Communications, Crammer-Krasselt Public Relations and Off Madison Ave. Her past experience has allowed her to work with such organizations as; Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Westcor, Streets of New York Restaurants, Island’s Fine Burgers, Wolfgang Puck Concepts, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Avilla Homes & the law firm of Fisher Phillips L.L.P.

Additionally, Jackie is a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and recently served as the first female President of the Arizona Interactive Marketing Association. The Phoenix Business Journal also named Jackie to the exclusive list of “Top 20 Marketing Professionals to Know in Arizona” in 2017.

Jackie holds a bachelors degree in Communications from Kent State University. She is a native of Michigan and currently lives in Gilbert, Arizona with her husband Eric, son Holden and two dogs, Macy & Max.

Dr. Mark Pirtle is a pioneer in integral thinking in stress relief and recovery. 

 He is a teacher, speaker, writer, filmmaker, and businessman. He connects the dots between science, wellness, ethical business practices, and spirituality. Pirtle tirelessly updates his understanding of the latest evidence to help others change and heal. He developed an evidence-based program for people suffering from stress-related conditions he calls SkillfullyAware ® 

Pirtle teaches attunement skills, through the use of meditation and mindfulness, to empower his clients to work towards healthier relationships with themselves, others, and the world. Pirtle, along with two-time Emmy Award-winning director, Frances Causey, produced a full-length documentary film titled,  

“Is Your Story Making You Sick”?

ScottheadshotScott W. Luton is the founder of Supply Chain Now Radio and also serves as Managing Partner for TalentStream. He has worked extensively in the end-to-end Supply Chain industry for more than 15 years, appearing in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Dice and Quality Progress Magazine.

Scott currently serves as Executive Vice President of APICS Atlanta, was recently named a 2019 Pro to Know in Supply Chain by Supply & Demand Executive. He served on the 2018 Georgia Logistics Summit Executive Committee and currently serves as Chair of the 2019 Atlanta Supply Chain Awards Planning Committee.

He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and holds the APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) credential. As a Veteran of the United States Air Force, Scott also volunteers on the Business Pillar for VETLANTA, and maintains active membership in the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance & CSCMP Atlanta Roundtable.
