After moving to Atlanta in 2014 Alyssa Fagien quickly fell in love with the city. Not knowing how long she would remain in Atlanta, she created a “bucket list” of restaurants and activities she wanted to experience. With a background in marketing and a passion for photography, Alyssa decided to create an Instagram account to document her adventures. And in March of 2015 ATL Bucket List was born. Fast forward three years and ATL Bucket List is now one of the biggest “influencers” in Atlanta. Alyssa has had the opportunity to collaborate with amazing local and national brands such as Ford Fry Restaurants, Taste of Atlanta, American Express, Delta and more. And in 2017, Alyssa decided to take her knowledge of social media to the next level by launching her own social media agency, Atlys Media. Seven Chan and Ken Yu are owners of Poke Burri and Lifting Noodles Ramen. Both have proven to be award-winning concepts with cult-like followings in the city. The pair met and opened their first shop a year and a half ago combining Sevens business and marketing acumen with Ken’s food and restaurant background. The two plan to franchise and grow each concept in the next year and have new locations slotted to open this year and into 2019.

AlexanderMcCorbin2Alexander McCobin is CEO of Conscious Capitalism, Inc., a US-based organization dedicated to elevating humanity by improving the practice and perception of business. Alexander became CEO of Conscious Capitalism in July, 2017, after serving 15 months as co-CEO alongside Doug Rauch. Alexander joined Conscious Capitalism with experience in the nonprofit, for-profit, and academic fields.

Most recently before joining Conscious Capitalism, Alexander served as co-founder and president of Students For Liberty, a nonprofit organization that teaches the principles of a free society to young people and empowers them to make a difference in their communities; in Alexander’s last year as president, Students For Liberty was operating in over 100 countries, included nearly 2,000 student groups, organized 100 conferences for 20,000 participants, and trained over 1,500 volunteer leaders.

Alexander graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008 with a BA in philosophy and economics and a MA in philosophy. He began a PhD program in philosophy at Georgetown University with the intention of becoming a professor, but ended with a Master’s degree when it became apparent that his principal interests lay outside the Ivory Tower. During undergraduate and graduate schools, Alexander simultaneously started and assisted in starting several other businesses in both the for profit and nonprofit realms ranging from introducing high school debate programs to underserved youth in Philadelphia to providing low-cost travel planning to businesses.

Dr. Kathleen Gallo, RN, PhD, is senior vice president and chief learning officer for Northwell Health. Under her leadership, the Center for Learning and Innovation, Northwell Health’s corporate university, and the Patient Safety Institute were created to transform the health system into a learning organization by strategically focusing on workforce development. Dr. Gallo is also the founding dean of the Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies. Dr. Gallo is responsible for leadership development throughout the organization as well as the creation and implementation of a comprehensive learning strategy. She has more than 25 years experience in emergency nursing, having held a variety of clinical and administrative positions in tertiary care hospitals on Long Island. A noted author and speaker, Dr. Gallo has collaborated in a Springer publication entitled, Building a Culture of Patient Safety Through Simulation: An Interprofessional Learning Model. She also speaks on a wide range of topics including “Future Workforce Requirements,” “Preparing Tomorrow’s Clinicians for Tomorrow’s Healthcare System,” “Enhancing Patient Safety Through Interprofessional Education and Collaboration,” “Heralding in a New Era: Patient Safety at the Forefront,” “Transforming Healthcare into Higher Reliability Organizations,” and “Creating a Culture of Safety: Lessons Learned from Aviation.” Dr. Gallo is a board member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Futures Task Force, the American Nurses Foundation Board of Trustees, the National Advisory Council for the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education, the Advisory Council for Career and Technical Education for the New York City Department of Education and the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education. She previously served on the National Advisory Council on Nurse Education and Practice for the US Department of Health and Human Services. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and the New York Academy of Medicine, and is a distinguished scholar and fellow of the National Academies of Practice. In 2005, she was inducted into Adelphi University’s College of Nursing and Public Health and she received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Stony Brook University. Dr. Gallo received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Excelsior College, a Master of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University; and a PhD in Nursing and MBA from Adelphi. Peter Fleming joined Nease, Lagana, Eden, & Culley, Inc. as Vice President of Advisor Education in 2009. Peter specializes in advisor education for the estate planning community, where he conducts personalized educational sessions on the effective uses of life insurance as a planning tool. In addition, he uses real life case studies to help advisors and their clients understand how life insurance has been used in the affluent planning market. He serves as NLEC’s liaison with the American Bar Association, American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and various family office groups. Peter is also responsible for developing strategic alliances/joint ventures with other organizations to assist with the placement of life insurance in the ultra-affluent marketplace.
