DESTINATION LIFESTYLE and DESIGN with Michael Blue of Forte Homes

The Forte Difference – Integrity

At Forte Homes, we know that the client comes first. We have been top-ranked custom home builders for 25 years and will continue our dedication to quality with your build. We have built our business and reputation on being positioned to deliver a high-quality product and customer satisfaction with each and every home for each and every family.

By focusing on our key strengths as a team we know we can deliver you the home building experience of your dreams. These strengths are teamwork, predictability, value and convenience. You will see evidence of them in everything we do.

Our Strength: Teamwork

MichaelBluewithForteHomesonPhoenixBusinessRadioXEach of our customers is supported by a four person team. Each member of the Forte team brings their own strengths to your project.

Co-owners John Cochran and John Perkins have been partners and custom home builders since the beginning. One of the owners will be your project manager. Both have engineering backgrounds and together they have project managed over 500 homes.

Our project coordinators have a combined 45 years of experience in project management and customer relations. They support the project managers and site superintendents throughout the entire design and construction phases of the project.

Our site superintendents all have an extensive background in the construction industry and have all been licensed general contractors in the field. Their sole focus and dedication is ensuring that our subcontractors build your home to the highest quality.

Our accountant ensures that all the financial aspects of the project, including coordination with the construction lender, run smoothly.

Our entire team is committed to your home and to keeping the project running smoothly from conception to final walk-through.

We don’t stop there – we are also proud to refer you to the best of the best in your extra services – we consistently review and assure the quality of pool design firms, landscaping companies and interior designers. If we recommend them to you, you know that we trust the quality of their work.

Our Strength: Predictability

Forte Homes has been in business continuously since 1993. We have been ranked by Phoenix Business Journal in the top 10 custom home builders in the valley for most of the last 25 years. You JeanineDoughertywithjninedesignsonPhoenixBusinessRadioXcan count on us to be there in the future.

We believe that even for your Dream Home, you need to be able to plan and budget. We do not use the “cost plus” model that many other custom home builders use. Instead we offer Fixed Price Contracts – your final price is not dependent on the rising costs of labor and materials. Should you require a change to the original plan, this may incur an additional cost, but otherwise the price we quote is the price you pay. You can take that to the bank.

Our Strength: Value

We are proud of our unsurpassed ability to deliver the highest quality product and service at the most competitive price in the industry. Our clients trust us to help value engineer their homes – to ensure that all materials deliver the best performance required at the most reasonable price available.

Our Strength: Convenience

The Design Center at Forte Homes is unique among custom home builders in the Phoenix area. We boast a large showroom stocked with a wide range of materials for all parts of the build. No running from warehouse to store, we can discuss all your materials in the comfort of our beautiful showroom.

Should you or your interior designer wish to shop around or source materials elsewhere, we will also be happy to work with your outside vendor.

Connect with Michael Blue on LinkedIn, and follow Forte Homes on Instagram, Facebook and Houzz.

Lost Our Home Pet Rescue with Founder Jodi Polanski and Co-Host Barbara Barnstead

The mission at Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is to provide compassionate services to pets and people in crisis. Founded in 2008 in response to the economic downturn and, more specifically, the Phoenix area housing market crash, what began as a grassroots, foster-based network to rescue pets abandoned as a result of foreclosures or evictions quickly evolved into a resource to help those at risk of losing their pets due to life circumstances or financial hardships.

Lost Our Home has 6 programs that are designed to prevent pets from going to overcrowded shelters where they face an uncertain future and to keep pets with the families that love them. Their Adoption Program rescues and finds new loving homes for abandoned and owner surrendered dogs and cats. Their Temporary Care Program provides up to 90 days of pet care for individuals or families who are experiencing a life challenge or crisis such as job loss, homelessness, domestic violence, illness, injury or hospitalization. Their Pet Food Bank provides pet food and supplies to those who are temporarily unable to afford them.  Their Pet Friendly Rental Program has a network of realtors who locate rental properties for more difficult to place pets due to breed restrictions or number of pets, then they donate 100% of their commission to cover pet deposits. Their Low Income Boarding program, offers low cost boarding for those who are unable to afford traditional boarding rates. And they operate a Pet Companion Shelter on the campus of Sojourner Center, one of Arizona’s largest domestic violence shelters, so that families fleeing abuse can keep their pets with them while they heal. Since 2008, they have helped more than 22,000 pets. This includes finding loving homes for over 4,500 cats and dogs. Reuniting more than 750 pets with their families following a crisis and feeding over 17,500 pets through their Pet Food Bank.

JodiPolanskiwithLostOurHomePetRescueonPhoenixBusinessRadioXJodi Polanski has been involved with animal welfare for more than 14 years. Prior to her career in the non-profit sector, Jodi spent 16 years in sales and management in both the retail and mortgage industries.  Jodi founded Lost Our Home in 2008 in response to the thousands of pets in need as a result of the economic downturn and Phoenix-area foreclosure crisis. At the time, Jodi was working in the mortgage industry and saw firsthand the devastating effects the housing crisis had on people and pets. During that time, many pets were abandoned in foreclosed homes, often times without food and water. In response to the growing need, Jodi launched Lost Our Home Pet Rescue.

From heartbreak to hope, from extreme crisis to loving care, Jodi has used her extensive past business experience to create an innovative and efficiently operated pet rescue center that helps people while saving pets. In 2011, Jodi received a scholarship from the Arizona State University Lodestar Nonprofit Management Institute and earned her Professional Certificate in Nonprofit Management. She has also been the recipient of many achievement awards throughout her career, and was most recently named an “Outstanding Woman in Business” by the Phoenix Business Journal in 2016. In 2015, she was honored as “Business Woman of the Year” by the Tempe Chamber of Commerce.
