Allyson Eman has 20 years of marketing, sales and communications experience. In 2007, Allyson took on the role of Executive Director for the newly created Venture Atlanta annual conference.

Allyson has worked with key business leaders from Metro Atlanta Chamber, Atlanta CEO Council and Technology Association of Georgia to build the premier venture capital conference in Georgia. The conference is now in its fifth year.

Prior to joining Venture Atlanta, Allyson was the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for SouthStar Funding, a wholesale mortgage lender headquartered in Atlanta. During her 9 year tenure with the firm, she helped the company grow from 8 employees to 800 with 30 nationwide offices. SouthStar Funding grew to be one of the most reputable, respected and trusted wholesale mortgage lenders in the country under Allyson’s leadership. SouthStar received many accolades including A+ Employer, Fastest Growing Privately Held Company in Georgia and was included on Inc. 500′s list of fastest growing privately held companies.

Prior to joining SouthStar, Allyson worked for SouthTrust Bank as a branch marketing manager overseeing the marketing platform for 100 branches across Georgia. Allyson received a BS from the University of Florida and resides in Marietta with her husband and two children.

Melanie Brandt/Technology Association of Georgia

Melanie Brandt is the Chief Operating Officer for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the largest industry association in the state and one of the most successful Technology organizations in the country. Melanie provides strategic leadership as well as management of TAG’s operations, including key initiatives such as the annual State of the Industry Report, the TAG Business Launch Competition, TAG’s Statewide impact initiatives including Economic Development support and TAG’s Savannah, Augusta, and Middle Georgia chapters; TAG’s Economic Gardening program; the 31 TAG Societies including those dediciated to strategic Georgia technology sector focuses such as Health IT, Financial Technology (FinTech), Information Security and Mobility; and the TAG leadership Council. Melanie has fundraising and staff management responsibilities and has initiated several noteworthy projects as COO, such as the Where Georgia Leads maps, the TAG Social Media Council, and the annual S.T.E.M. Education Awards.

Before joining TAG, Melanie was part of the Gwinnett Chamber’s Economic Development team, implementing the Partnership Gwinnett initiative as their Business Development Manager for Information Technology and Advanced Communication. Prior to joining the Gwinnett Chamber, she served as TAG’s Director of Information and Community Resources.

Melanie is currently on the executive advisory board for the Atlanta Technology Professionals (ATP), where she served as president in 2004 and 2005. She was a founder of StartupChicks, an organization dedicated to connecting and inspiring entrepreneurial women, and serves on committees for the Georgia Chamber, the Metro Atlanta Chamber, and the Gwinnett Chamber. Melanie was recognized as a “40 under 40” Atlanta Business and Community Leader recipient by the Atlanta Business Chronicle in 2010.

Michael Lasky has practiced exclusively in intellectual property (patents, trademarks, copyrights) for over 30 years at the firms of Merchant & Gould , Powell Goldstein and Burr Forman in Atlanta.

He is a published author and a nationally recognized speaker on the topic of Business Exit and Succession Strategies. He is currently writing POWER TOOLS — Strategies for making for your company far more valuable and saleable , due out later in 2012.

Michael Woodard/Return on People Development

Michael Woodard is a Learning & Development expert with more than 26 years of experience in sales, sales leadership and training and development, in the Retail and Food Service industries. Mike is known to be a thought-leader in Adult Learning and Sales and Corporate Leadership Development and is recognized for his contributions throughout the Learning community.

Michael spent the first 12 years of his career in various sales and leadership roles at Sweetheart Cup Company, Amoco Foam Products and Tenneco Packaging. In 1997, Mike made the move from Sales to Sales Training and Leadership Development. Over the past 14 years, he has served as the Director, Global Sales Training and Development for SC Johnson, Georgia-Pacific, PepsiCo and Gillette. Michael consistently developed high-impact Sales and Leadership Development curriculum to address strategic business issues, drive individual, team and organization performance, while maximizing ROI.

Michael earned a B.S.B.A in Economics and Finance from Aquinas College and an M.A. with emphasis in Management and Leadership Development from Webster University. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Executive Education with an emphasis in Leadership Development and the Harvard Business School of Executive Education with an emphasis in Negotiations and Critical Decision Making.

Virginia Wadsworth/Automobile Protection Corporation

Virginia Wadsworth with Automobile Protection Corporation, serves as the Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary .  She is also the immediate past President of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC-GA).

Timothy Phillips/American Cancer Society, Inc.

Timothy Phillips is the acting Chief Counsel of the American Cancer Society, the nation’s largest community-based voluntary health organization, and winner of this year’s Community Champion.  Tim joined the American Cancer Society’s Office of Corporate Counsel as Associate Counsel in 2005.  He moved to the position of Senior Counsel in 2008, in which role, among other matters, he has provided advice in the areas of taxation, corporate governance, risk management, compliance, employee benefits and executive compensation, grant reviews (government, private and independent sector source funds), vendor contracts and collaborative efforts with foreign cancer fighting entities.  In his new role as the Society’s chief legal officer, Tim also manages the Society’s Conflict of Interest and Risk Management Programs.

David Quillian/PrimeRevenue, Inc.

David Quillian is Vice President and General Counsel of PrimeRevenue, Inc., and a finalist for Outstanding General Counsel, Small.  David is responsible for all aspects of PrimeRevenue’s legal affairs and has also been integral to PrimeRevenue’s product development efforts.  He is the named inventor or co-inventor in a number of PrimeRevenue’s patent applications both in the US and abroad.  Prior to joining PrimeRevenue, David was General Counsel at Harbor Payments, Inc., an EIPP and EBPP provider, and directed Harbor’s legal affairs and human resources group up to the point of the firm’s acquisition by American Express in December 2006.  Prior to joining Harbor Payments, Mr. Quillian was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Magnet Communications, Inc., a provider of outsourced cash management and funds transfer applications to financial institutions up through its acquisition by Digital Insight, which is now part of Intuit.  Mr. Quillian received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University, as well as J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Georgia.

Christina Kisley, President and CEO, founded Life-Long Leadership in 2002. Using her 17+ years of mastery in leadership and organizational development, Christina is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of the sales, marketing, communication, operations, finance and services functions for the organization. In addition, she leads a team of 18 consulting partners in whom she personally invests her time, thereby, developing individuals with a heart for leadership and a culture of integrity and excellence.

Prior to the formation of Life Long Leadership, Christina provided her leadership and human resource development expertise to well renowned organizations spanning a variety of industries including retail, manufacturing, health care, hotel, restaurant and telecommunications.

Christina has completed extensive graduate work in Human Resource Development and Professional Counseling at Georgia State University. Pam Beckerman is a seasoned HR executive who partners with business leaders to advance strategic objectives by unleashing the talent and potential of employee communities.  Currently the Vice President, HR for the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Pam has lead programs encompassing the complete employee life cycle.
