Michael Van Cise and Kathryn Hecker are partners at Arnall Golden Gregory in Atlanta, where they focus their practice on wealth transfer planning for ultra high net worth clients, business succession planning, international estate planning, and charitable planning. Both are members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and are included in the Chambers High Net Worth guide. Kathryn and Michael also work on a broad array of issues pertaining to the needs of tax-exempt entities.
Michael, a graduate of Mercer University and the University of Georgia School of Law,
is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America for trusts and estates law. Michael recently participated in the Philanthropic Advisor Leadership Institute, a collaboration between the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, and United Way. Michael is a past-president of the alumni council of Darlington School. Michael currently serves on the Code Revision Committee of the Fiduciary Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
Kathryn graduated from Yale University and Emory Law School. A member of the firm’s Tax Exempt and Charitable Organizations Practice and the Executive Committee of the Nonprofit Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, she is actively involved in several civic and nonprofit organizations, including among others, the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, the Georgia Planned Giving Council, and the Atlanta Legal Aid Society.
