Peace Place, Inc. is a nonprofit organization serving families in Jefferson and surrounding communities with compassion, dignity, and hope. Dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence and crisis, Peace Place provides safe shelter, advocacy, prevention education, and vital resources to help survivors rebuild their lives.
The Peace Place Thrift Store in Jefferson plays an important role in this mission. Through the sale of gently used clothing, furniture, household goods, and unique finds, the store generates funding that directly supports programs and services for those in need. Community donations and shoppers make it possible for Peace Place to continue offering life-changing assistance.
By shopping, donating, or volunteering, supporters help create safer homes and stronger futures throughout Jackson County and beyond.

As a dynamic 16 year Jane Spicer was challenged by her mother, Daphne ( the companies namesake) to start a business of her own if she wanted a car. Jane did just that and with her Mum’s mentoring created animal golf club covers. Jane built the company through high school and college and then took it internationally. Jane is the recipient of many awards including Top Female Exporter in Arizona, Positively Powerful Woman award, Forbes top golf products, ASU’s Spirit of Enterprise award and many others for her professional accomplishments and most recently the Precious Paw award for her philanthropic work with Gabriel’s Angels and their work with abused and neglected children. Jane is also an avid hiker and just completed the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim hike in one day. She is also the proud mom of a son and daughter, a sailor, hiker, animal lover and a passionate mentor to young entrepreneurs.
