A press conference was held on December 2, 2015 to unveil the new Infinite Energy Arena marquee sign on top of the building. This was the first major sign installation since the naming rights announcement in August 2015.

Speakers at the press conference included Richard Tucker (Gwinnett CVB Chairman of the Board), Joseph Dennis (Infinite Energy Center GM), Darin Cook (Infinite Energy Co-Founder and Co-CEO), Jace Brooks (Gwinnett CVB Board Member) and J. Alvin Wilbanks (Gwinnett County Public Schools Superintendent).

The arena sign was designed by sky design of Atlanta, and the sign was constructed and installed by Henry Incorporated of Decatur. The sign dimensions are 17-feet tall and 96-feet long.

Infinite Energy secured the naming rights to the Infinite Energy Center campus over the next 20 years for a total investment of $18 million. This is the first naming rights partnership for both Infinite Energy and the Infinite Energy Center and the first major marquee sign for the venue.

Joey Dennis, Gwinnett CenterGwinnett Center is located on approximately 90 acres in the heart of Gwinnett County at the intersection of Sugarloaf Parkway and Satellite Boulevard off of I-85. The Center consist of five venues: a 13,000 seat Arena, 50,000 square-foot Convention Center, The Tommy P Hughes Grand Ballroom, 700 seat Performing Arts Center, and The Hudgens Art Center. The campus has 5,000 parking spaces and parking is free. The facility hosts approximately 600 events per year averaging 1.25 million guests.

JapanFest Weekend, the largest Japanese festival in the Southeast, will be held September 20-21, 2014 at the Gwinnett Convention Center from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. Japan is the number one foreign investor in Georgia and JapanFest celebrates the special economic and cultural bond Japan and Georgia share together.

 

Sachi Nakato/Nakato Japanese Restaurant

Nakato is the longest running Japanese Restaurant in Atlanta. Nakato is third generation family owned and operated, and has been serving Atlanta since 1972.

Bill Blackwell/The Gwinnett Center

The Gwinnett Center is a 90 acre campus located off Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth, GA. The Center includes The Arena at Gwinnett Center, a 13,000 seat multi-use facility that hosts concerts, sporting events, corporate events and religious gatherings. The Convention Center has 50,000 square ft. of exhibit halls, 23 meeting rooms and a 20,000 square foot Grand Ballroom. The Performing Arts Center is a state of the art 700 seat theater used for plays, corporate events, dance recitals and traveling shows. The Hudgens Center for the Arts is also located on campus but is operated separately from the other venues, but the Gwinnett Centers sales staff does handle bookings of the facilities for weddings, receptions and other gatherings. The Center employs approximately 100 full-time and over 200 part-time people. The Gwinnett Center is directed by the Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors and operates as a non-profit organization. The bricks and mortar are owned by the County but the Center has operated without County funding after construction. This year they celebrate 10 years service for the Arena and Grand Ballroom and 20 years service for the PAC and Convention Center.
