Camp Fire offers an exciting variety of programs across the country:
SCHOOL-YEAR PROGRAMS
See why teachers, principals, and students can’t stop raving about our high-quality Out-of-School-Time (OST) and in-school programs. It’s way more than homework tutoring and supervision.
Between Teens in Action, Counselor-in-Training (CIT), Wohelo Award, and National Youth Advisory Cabinet (YAC), we not only activate teens but intentionally seek their valuable feedback in all we do.
Overnight/resident camps, day camps, grief camps, inclusion camps, LGBTQ-friendly camps, environmental education—all are welcome, and there is something for everyone across the country.
Schools across the country partner with Camp Fire when they want to offer strong, research-based programs. Schools choose Camp Fire because we are laser-focused on helping their students succeed, and are reputable partners so they can better serve their families and communities.
Afterschool
All of our programs allow for homework mentoring and tutoring, but also teach:
Conflict Resolution
Health and Wellness
Digital Literacy
Bullying/Cyberbullying
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
Creative Arts
Community Service
Every afterschool program is structured in collaboration with schools to ensure that we are supporting their goals and complementing the education that its students are getting during the school day.
Camp Fire’s highly trained, caring staff encourage every child or teen to manage their time in a way that aligns with their passions and talents. Our staff also gather youth input to incorporate in activities so they can better engage them each day.
Camp Fire Wise Kids® / Wise Kids Outdoors ®
Our health and wellness programs use the simple theory of “energy in = energy out” to teach kids of all ages how to eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle.
InterACTION
Good communication is hard to find but critical to anyone’s success. This program focuses on developing strong communication skills with peer groups and adults as well as learning healthy ways to resolve conflict.
Club Programs
Traditional club programs are offered by some Camp Fire councils and are what most of our alumnae from Camp Fire Girls remember fondly. Club pairs a trained, volunteer leader with a group of youth who work through a Camp Fire curriculum before or after school. Clubs typically go on field trips, undertake service projects, and do other activities to earn badges and learn life skills.

ABOUT 1 MILLION CUPS Based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and engage with their communities over a million cups of coffee, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation developed 1 Million Cups in 2012—a free program designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs around the country. Through the power of volunteers, 1 Million Cups has grown to more than 180 communities.
As a program of the Kauffman Foundation, 1 Million Cups works with entrepreneurs, empowering them with the tools and resources to break down barriers that stand in the way of starting and growing their businesses. Mr. Kauffman believed it was a fundamental right for anyone who had a big idea to be able to bring it to life—and we’re here to fulfill that mission.
OUR CULTURE Diversity, equity and inclusion are key to the success of our programs. Nationwide, 1 Million Cups communities aim to present an inclusive and supportive front door to their local entrepreneurial ecosystems. These qualities are essential for 1MC to fulfill its mission to educate, engage and connect entrepreneurs with their communities. And they are too essential to leave to chance as the number of 1MC communities continues to grow.
ABOUT THE KAUFFMAN FOUNDATION Founded by Ewing Marion Kauffman, the Foundation is driven to provide uncommon ways to create opportunities and connect people to the tools they need to achieve success, change their futures and give back to their communities. We believe that if you have an idea, you have a fundamental right to start a business to make it a reality.
We also believe that opportunity lies in the fields of education and entrepreneurship. Our team is based in Kansas City and made up of connectors and doers who dream big, solve problems with the communities we serve and take calculated risks to drive results.

Manna can’t meet the needs of the hungry in our community without a new facility. The April 2014 flood destroyed our equipment and food. Our work cannot continue effectively in these conditions. We need your help to raise the $1 million needed to make our new facility the solution we know it can be. We can only move those in need from hunger to hope with your support.
Tell me how I can help make it possible
Want to help fight hunger in our community?
Help us provide your neighbors healthy food options. Manna is the only pantry in the region packing grocery bags using USDA Standards for a Healthy Diet. Every month with your help we provide 26,414 meals for 938 families in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Every day we see areas where we can have a greater impact. We have to reach the needs of more children, senior citizens and even military in our area.
