Kyros

Daniel Larson, Kyros (Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Radio, Episode 39)

CEO and Founder Daniel Larson created Kyros to help people suffering from addiction connect with the resources they need for recovery. On this episode of Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Radio, Daniel joined host John Ray and discussed how his own journey with substance abuse informs his work, the importance of technology in addressing the opioid epidemic, how Kairos is working to improve access to care, and much more.

Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Radio is produced virtually by the Minneapolis St. Paul studio of Business RadioX®.

Kyros

The goal of Kyros is to remove barriers along the recovery pathway for clients, providers, and organizations alike to facilitate a simplified approach to drug rehabilitation with one platform.

They know the treatment industry is messy and confusing, they’ve experienced it. This is the impetus to create the Kyros platform. It gathers resources in one place, allowing clients easy access through a self-serve menu, and providers a simplified approach to processing client information.

Kyros gives the client access to progress monitoring, rewards, and tracking. They can measure progress and begin to truly develop new lifestyles in their long-term recovery.

For providers, Kyros values quality over quantity. Work when you want, and as much as you want and track your impact on clients as you work alongside them.

For organizations, the platform was created to help simplify processing on all levels through functions aiding in proper workforce management, and automated billing.

Daniel Larson is an entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in technology and labor market solutions. In previous roles at SHI One Platform and Field Nation, where he served as Program Manager and Director of Strategic Business Development respectively, Daniel successfully built two nine-figure revenue programs from the ground up, resulting in eight-figure revenue streams for each company during his tenure.

This year he launched Kyros, the first of its kind digital platform for recovery services, which harnesses the power of technology to connect and empower clients, providers, and organizations. Daniel is two years into his recovery and developed Kyros after encountering obstacles on his own journey with substance use disorder. The company’s mission, to increase positive outcomes for the millions of Americans managing their own recovery, is already proving itself by seeing 90% percent growth quarter over quarter since launching.

World-Class Fitness

in 100 Words:

“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.”

Kelly Moselle/A BlueHorizon Residential Treatment

A BlueHorizon Residential Treatment is a substance use disorders (addiction) intensive treatment program for men and women who suffer from addictive diseases. Services are provided both on an out-patient basis, with or without supervised recovery residence services. Clients work in a community environment with a highly experienced staff and are engaged in a structured treatment regimen that includes evidence-based treatment practices in conjunction with a 12-step based philosophy.

Dana Rider & Kevin Short/My Real Recovery

Real Recovery is a sober living, halfway housing and treatment aftercare program designed specifically for young men ages 18-28 that have struggled with substance abuse and addiction. Situated on seven acres of beautiful riverfront property just north of the mountain city Asheville, North Carolina – it is unlike any other program that exists anywhere in the country.

They take a common sense approach to rehabilitation. Rather than being institutional, they implement a highly structured program in a casual environment. All of their residents have individualized and structured plans in place designed specifically for them by Real Recovery staff. Their clients participate in daily group activities, therapy, community and 12-step applications in a supportive, brotherhood-focused community. Although Real Recovery is a halfway housing provider, their individualized and hands-on approach to the services offered for young men stand out from those of standard halfway house programs across the United States.

What makes them really unique, however, is their belief in teaching young men to live life on life’s terms. Their goal is to instill a love for the life that they have been graciously given. Fun, love and helping others are the answers to a successful rehabilitation at Real Recovery.

Testing the Experts, presented by Confirmatrix Laboratory, introduces you to the top physicians, treatment centers and rehabilitation facilities, researchers, law enforcement personnel and other organizations in Atlanta to discuss their work and examine how drug testing and trends in patient care as well as drug usage plays a part in their day to day operations. Testing the Experts is co-hosted by Wes Warrington and Tracy Youngblood-McDaniel and airs each Friday at 1:00pm EST.
