Martina Young is the entrepreneur’s trainer for business and marketing development. Many of her clients have referred to her as a walking business dictionary. She has been training in business since the age of 14 years old when she began working in her dad’s business. Wm. Dexter Jones, CEO and Founder of Vendaetta Systems, is a native, and longtime resident of Dekalb County and the State of Georgia having attended Snapfinger Elementary School, Lithonia High School, and Morehouse College. Mr. Jones has a passion for community service exhibited by 25+ years as a volunteer youth baseball coach/trainer in several cities including Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Union City, GA; College Park, GA; Atlanta, GA; and Decatur, GA. Mr. Jones describes himself as “both an educator and lifelong learner.” He regularly participates in Career Day activities and has a Code Academy in which he introduces technology to Primary School students.

Mr. Jones’ 20+ year professional career demonstrates proven technology, business development, and leadership skills across several verticals including, but not limited to, digital marketing, telecom, automotive, insurance, hospitality, and state/federal government. Some of his accomplishments include: the “Best in Show” award at TexMed, “Technology Innovation of the Year” from NAPA, a Dentsu (Japan) Grand Prix “Innovative Use of Search” award, a “System and Method for Attributing Engagement Score of a Channel” (patent pending), and the lead architect for automating the property tax/appeals process for Harris County, TX. He is also an annual guest lecturer for the J. Mack Robinson College of Business/IAE de Paris MBA program.

Mr. Jones is a father to four children, three of which currently attend post-secondary schools; he says his greatest accomplishment will be to graduate all four. To close, I will quote what Mr. Jones calls the turning point of life: “Each one of my children represent a sudden, and distinct change in my life. Each one has a different personality, different interests, and spirit. Lance D. Roberts serves as Branch Manager at Becker Logistics – a third party logistics company based in Glendale Heights, IL. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the sales and operations for the Irving, Texas facility. At the age of 47, Roberts has been involved in every aspect of the industry. He has spent 31 of his 35 years of business experience in management and leadership positions.

A visionary entrepreneur even at a young age, Roberts found ways to make money, selling roses from his mother’s garden and going door-to-door in his Canyon Lake, California neighborhood selling candy. He also held garage sales, selling items around his parent’s house to make money. He paid cash for his first car at age 16 – a 1978 Honda Accord. Roberts spent the first ten years of his professional career at the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association in California, starting as an assistant to the golf pro, and then moving into administration where he was city maintenance manager. He later worked for Gottschalks department store in San Bernardino as a dock worker, and was promoted twice within two weeks to the role of shipping/receiving manager.

In 1997 he spent five years with Roadway Express in operations management. During his tenure at Roadway, he successfully completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from University of Phoenix. Roberts attributes his promotion at Roadway and successive opportunities to the bachelor’s program. Roberts ran his own company as a truck broker/agent for Freedom Express. He then joined JTS in April 2003 as an agent in the Fresno office. Bringing a small book of business to the company, he quickly developed the dairy division within two months and as a result was promoted in 2003 to Director of Sales for the Dairy division. He left JTS in 2009 as VP of Sales and Marketing and then in 2010 he Open RLS a $65M 3PL & RTC a 20-truck operation.

In 2012 Roberts sold the two companies and worked as VP of RMX then in 2016 he opened a consulting firm. Roberts successfully turned around 5 companies & a few M&A due diligence projects including a 100-unit trucking company and helped 3 start ups before joining Becker Logistics. Roberts while working at JTS, received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2007. The masters program prepared him for the working world using real life business applications of the principles taught in the classroom for courses such as business, finance, sales, and human resources – all of which contributed to the creation of the JTS, RLS, RMX and many of the turnaround strategic business plan.

Roberts resides in Fort Worth, Texas along with his wife Amy, step daughter Asha and son Logan and has one step son in college in Wisconsin. He is an ardent supporter of charitable organizations such as MDA, United Way, and Habitat for Humanity CEC and is active with his local church. Jenn Graham is on a mission to design a more inclusive world. An activist, designer and civic tech entrepreneur, Jenn Graham is the Founder and CEO of Civic Dinners, bringing diverse voices together over food for conversations that matter.

Since starting Civic Dinners as a social experiment in Atlanta, Jenn has built a global team and a digital platform that has already enabled over 1,000 dinners around the world, and has a goal of inviting a million people to the table by 2021. Her clients range from the Atlanta Regional Commission to Facebook, including beloved organizations such as The King Center, Sierra Club, and Teach for America.

Matt Bramblett’s 30-year career in business development and finance spans several industries and has included roles at a variety of businesses, both large and small. Matt spent a decade in commercial banking, helping build small businesses with sales up to $20MM. After returning to graduate school at Ga Tech for “retooling and rebranding”, he joined EGT, a media technology startup at Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center. As one of the company’s first hires, he led business development, resulting in the introduction of the first software-based video encoder for cable television networks. Matt’s entrepreneurial experiences also include ventures in commercial building services, advertising, real estate sales and management, and mobile application development.

Knox began experimenting with different absorbent materials for menstrual cups over four years ago, when she determined she wanted such a product for herself. She found what she needed in medical-grade sponge material used for deep-wound surgeries.

She developed a long lasting, disposable menstrual cup which has the same absorbent properties as traditional tampons and sanitary napkins. The product received a patent in 2018.

Dia Davis, COO of DelivHer, is currently pursuing a dual bachelor’s degree in Managerial Science and Business Economics at Georgia State University maintaining a 3.0 GPA. She currently works at NCR as a Customer Project Manager for North America Banks.

Her years of experience in FinTech inspired her to be an entrepreneur while she started taking Dr. Monlouis’ ENI course. Dr. Monlouis connected Dia to Chante and they quickly became partners.

Eric Miller, PADT

Eric Miller is Co-Owner and Principal at Phoenix Analysis and Design Technologies, better known as PADT, where he is involved in providing tools and services to companies who design and manufacture physical products. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and has lived in Arizona since 1986. He started his career focusing on the application of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) to simulate turbine engine components. Over the years he became recognized as an expert user of the ANSYS software tool and in the development of custom software to automate the product simulation and design process.

As a co-founder of PADT in 1994, Eric was able to also pursue his interests in IT, graphic design, additive manufacturing, database programming, and small business management. As both PADT and the use of advanced engineering tools grew, Eric became exposed to dozens of different industries and developed his broad understanding of the application of technology for product development and manufacturing.

After over three decades in the industry, Eric is often called upon to write and speak on simulation, design, and 3D Printing as well as on startups and the high-tech sector. His involvement in the startup community includes angel investing as well as mentoring and serving on steering, screening, and advisory boards of a variety of technical organizations and institutions.

Jan Janick, Benchmark

Jan Janick is the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Global Engineering at Benchmark.
Jan’s extensive, customer-focused career covers more than 30 years of leading high-performance multicultural technology development teams at industry-leading computing systems companies. His ability to make decisions quickly and inspire teams to move at the speed of technology make him a valued contributor to the Benchmark executive team, where he leads technology development insights and innovations.

Prior to joining the Benchmark team in 2015, Jan served as an executive leader at both IBM and Lenovo, where he led the development and delivery of a number of key products, including IBM’s x86-based servers and PureFlex systems. During his tenure at IBM, he established the IBM Taiwan Systems and Technology Lab, growing the group to 300 engineers while leading 650 engineers across four U.S. locations as well as others in Taiwan and China. He also led the IT team for the 2006 Olympics in Torino, Italy, and led the development, production and program management of IBM’s significant acquisition of Texas Memory System.

Jan earned both his Bachelor and Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
