Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE) is a non-profit organization that provides loans and business development resources to help its borrowers create and grow sustainable businesses which generate jobs.

The ACE Women’s Business Center (ACE WBC) is the educational arm of ACE. With a mission to empower women, minorities, and low-to-moderate income entrepreneurs through financial education and training, the WBC provides a full range of services for women at all stages of business planning, implementation, and growth.
Our services include: Long-term classes, workshops, seminars, webinars, one-on-one consultations and connections to resources.

Jorge Valentin-Stone/U.S. Small Business Administration – Georgia District Office

The U.S. SBA was created by the Small Business Act of 1953. Their mission is targeted to ‘for-profit’ small business concerns -pre and start-up or existing- to provide them with the technical assets/partners of the SBA and the training needed to launch and grow their businesses. By partners they refer to SCORE, UGA Small Business Development Centers (17 offices in GA) and our two Women’s Business Centers in Georgia; The Edge Connection in Kennesaw, GA., and the ACE WBC in Norcross, Georgia. With these partner assets the SBA strives to promote and help expand small businesses in Georgia, and the nation as a whole.

Garrett Ervin is an experienced business manager with years of success growing small to medium sized businesses ranging from 20 – 200 employees. He is the current President and owner of Business RadioX – Gwinnett and producer of the weekly Gwinnett Business Radio podcast that airs every Thursday at 10 a.m.

His in-depth knowledge of managing all aspects of business including HR, Sales, Quality, Customer Experience, Profit & Loss and growth positions him to energetically promote all businesses in the Gwinnett County area. Living throughout the Southeast US the past several years including Palm Coast, FL, Pensacola, FL and now Suwannee, GA, Garrett has experience with many different business climates.

Garrett was born and raised in Michigan and spent most of his free time enjoying the outdoors. He’s travelled up and down the coasts of the Great Lakes, fished throughout the state and spent many weekends camping and visiting Mackinac Island. After making multiple trips to Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, he became addicted to the Chicago Deep Dish style pizza. Garrett says, “I truly miss the ability to make a short drive around the southern part of Lake Michigan to enjoy an original Chicago-style deep dish pizza.”

Garrett is eagerly looking forward to “Amplifying the Voice of Business” for all businesses within the Gwinnett County area.

Local businessman Steven Julian has been one of the more popular hosts on Business RadioX since 2013 and is excited to be part of “giving a voice” to local businesses in and around Gwinnett. He serves as the colorful and comedic co-host of “Gwinnett Business Radio” and as the “slightly annoying” (his words, not ours) host of “The Tiffany Krumins Show” on iHeartRadio. After a 10-year career in pastoral youth ministry, Steven currently works in the financial services industry when he’s not playing radio. After an 11-year career playing in the National Football League, Harper LeBel was working in the banking solutions business when he was introduced to Business RadioX. His former Atlanta Sports Radio 92.9 The Game co-host Mike Sammond invited him to appear as a guest on a show. More recently, Harper has joined the Business Radio X staff as a guest scheduler and on-air host. His radio background began in 2004 on the Atlanta Falcons Pregame Show on WGST Radio. He then moved to high school football broadcasting in Gainesville on WDUN Radio where he co-hosted pregame, halftime, and postgame shows before becoming an analyst on the Gainesville High School football broadcasts for six seasons, which included a state championship run in 2012. Harper has been a part of the Georgia State college football radio broadcasts since the school added the sport in 2010, and he is also currently working as a pregame and postgame host on the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network. Mike Sumpter, the CEO of Xyity, has been in the technology field for over 22 years as a technician, engineer and technology director for K-12 school corporations. He grew up in a home of educators as both his parents were teachers. His mother taught elementary education for over 25 years and his father was a 7th Grade Science teacher for 47 years.

Early in his career, he was a computer technician at Plymouth Community School Corporation. Later, he started a software training company for K-12 school districts in Indiana, and then became a Technology Director in a school district, which had always been his dream.

In 2001, he became one of the youngest Technology Directors in the area at Union-North United School Corporation. During his 10 1/2 years at the Union-North, they were an early adaptor of 1:1 initiatives in Indiana

After being at Union-North, he joined an Indiana company called Five-Star Technology Solutions. He serviced 11 school districts as their Technology Director, mentor or technical resource. He played a critical role in assisting eight very unique 1:1 environments, which provided Mike with a multifaceted approach to developing 1:1 implementations. Based on this experience, Mike decided to form his own company Xyity.

Through Xyity, he provides districts throughout the United States Virtual Chief Technology Officers (vCTO) for K-12 schools. It has been through Xyity that he has been able to reach out and assist all districts with their technology and 1:1 needs and assessments.
