Igor and Irina Ilyinsky with ListenUp
Irina and Igor Ilyinsky are building ListenUp – a free audio app that uses Artificial Intelligence to capture local stories and then narrates them to users based on their location.
With the phone in your pocket, the app allows safe mobile entertainment and guidance anywhere in the world, in up to 22 languages.
The hyper-local nature of this platform allows small businesses to advertise to users within walking distance of their establishment, for a fraction of what typical advertising costs.
ListenUp is launching in Arizona, just in time for the Super Bowl and Phoenix Open.
Scottsdale based husband and wife entrepreneurs – Igor and Irina Ilyinsky were born to challenge the status quo.
Both immigrated from the Soviet Union in 1979 via the same route, but they would not meet until just after September 11, 2001.
Igor, a technology whiz, grew up in Brooklyn, while Irina was posturing to become an IT business consultant, and later, a top-selling real estate agent, in her hometown of Chicago.
They have since built multiple enterprises together, and separately – with varying degrees of success – but since the pandemic have decided to dedicate their skills to something that actually improves the world.
