Special edition of Forsyth Business Radio

Since the inception of the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce in 1954, the purpose has remained the same; increase prosperity and promote and better community life for all. The organization continues to be the leader in economic development, advocacy on issues of interest to business and engaging business leaders to ensure the long term economic health of our community.
Forsyth is located just northeast of Atlanta, Georgia. The County was partitioned in 1832 from a section of Cherokee County territory along with nine other counties in the area.  Forsyth County was named for John Forsyth, Governor of Georgia from 1827 – 1829.
Cumming and Forsyth County, Georgia are consistently ranked among the most desirable communities in the nation. World class schools, nationally recognized parks, over 200 miles of lake shore line, the lowest property taxes in the region and a vibrant business community are the primary factors that earn the community accolades year after year.

Forsyth Business RadioX is the “Voice of Business” in our community. Their mission is to amplify and promote business. Business RadioX is a community of builders and a champion of business. We help solopreneurs, professional organizations, and brands build community around the people who matter the most to them.

We do this by helping our community leaders become the Voice of Business for the niche they serve. Studio locations worldwide. To partner or learn more, email amanda@businessradiox.com

Celebrating MLK Week of Service on “FOCO Talks”

Alex Holloman, Kristen Cook and Napoleon Foster join Host Laura Stewart

OneForsyth’s MLK Week of Service is a community-wide program bringing together members of the business community with Forsyth County residents to engage in a “week on” rather than a “day off” to make an impact in our community. The program coincides with the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service held on Monday, January 16, 2023. The OneForsyth MLK Week of Service encourages the business community to participate in a corporate challenge, joining colleagues together to engage in local service projects identified by notable non-profit entities. Additionally, the initiative provides opportunities for families to complete service projects together, even offering DIY projects families can complete at home. Make plans to participate in this historic Forsyth County event!
Visit MLK Week of Service – ONEFORSYTH to participate and learn more.

“Stewarding Family Wealth” featuring Hal Schlenger of Great South Benefits Group

with Host Randy Brunson   ep1

Hal Schlenger of Great South Benefits Group

Great South Benefits Group was founded in 1989 by David Combs and Jack Tester. Back when they first founded the company their goal was to educate the larger market (employers with a 100 or more employees) on the power of self-funding their insurance. They were able to help large employers save millions on their health insurance premiums.  Leveraging their relationships with carriers that traditionally only offer services to large companies and utilizing technology and self-funding strategies to help smaller clients save is what they do best! Connect with Hal Schlenger at hschlenger@greatsouthbenefits.com to learn more.

HOST Randy Brunson is the President of Centurion Advisory Group. He studied engineering and marketing at UT Chattanooga. Randy currently holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and CKA designation and makes it a priority to stay on top of his knowledge in the financial industry through continuing professional educational opportunities and reading.  Randy has completed studies in qualified plan design, estate planning and business transition planning and he enjoys speaking and writing on these topics.

Note from Brian:

Welcome to “The Great Awareness” podcast, focused on helping
Christians make sense of this world we are in. The goal is to encourage, but never at the expense of truth. We will take the truth found in Scripture and apply it to the real spiritual battles going on today. Ignoring pre-conceived beliefs, we will look at, actions-what is really going on, then use this truth of Scripture to accurately discern the times and how to respond.

Jesus said in John 8:32

“You will know the truth and the truth will set you free”.
This is what we are going to attempt to do with each podcast, get to the truth, so we can live as we have been called.
