David Shavzin/The Value Track

David Shavzin created The Value Track to help business owners build value and create a path towards a successful exit. Too often, they have not built the value they need and are unprepared when the time comes to put their transition into action.

Since 2000, David has helped business owners get on The Value Track. He helps them think through their long-term goals and plans, educates them on business value and brings the right collaborative advisory team around the table. He then assists in the implementation of value-growth initiatives, guiding them to a successful transition (sale, family transfer, etc.). His 7-step process improves their quality of life and allows them to exit on their own terms.

A frequent speaker on these topics, David is a CMC, former IMC Georgia chapter president, and President and Co-Founder of Exit Planning Exchange Atlanta, formed to bring advisors together in a collaborative effort to serve their clients.

Monte Ortel/Mitsubishi Electric Classic

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic is a PGA TOUR Champions event hosted annually at TPC Sugarloaf.

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic returns to the metro Atlanta area April 13-19, 2020 and features legends of the game such as Tom Watson, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Bernhard Langer, John Daly, Vijay Singh, and David Toms. The Mitsubishi Electric Classic proudly stands as a premier golf tournament on the PGA TOUR Champions, but this event is much more than a golf tournament.

The events and activities associated with the Mitsubishi Electric Classic provide an all-inclusive, entertaining atmosphere and the beautiful views of TPC Sugarloaf serve as a backdrop for world-class golf and provide the perfect venue to mingle with friends and business leaders while watching the legends of the game.

The event, which will benefit local charities through the Gwinnett Championship Foundation Inc., has raised over $2.3 million since the first tournament in 2013. All three rounds of the Mitsubishi Electric Classic are televised internationally by the Golf Channel.

Mike Maloney/TPC Sugarloaf

Situated on 1,200 acres of breathtaking Georgia countryside within the gated community of Sugarloaf Country Club, TPC Sugarloaf offers a winning combination. In addition to 27 holes of magnificent golf designed by Greg Norman, TPC Sugarloaf offers an array of amenities with the personalized service and privileges that have become synonymous with the PGA TOUR’s acclaimed TPC Network of premier clubs.

TPC Sugarloaf’s par-72, 7,259-yard championship golf course is comprised of nine holes called “The Stables” and nine holes named “The Meadows.” Named by Golf Digest among the “Best New Private Clubs in the U.S.” when it debuted in 1997, and by Golfweek among the “Top 100 Best Residential Golf Courses for 2007-2008,” TPC Sugarloaf’s featured 18 holes are accented by tree-lined Bermuda fairways, streams, lakes and hills.

Eastside’s Breast Center offers digital mammograms, the latest 3D mammography technology, breast ultrasound and breast MRI, breast biopsy, and genetic risk assessment and testing.

Eastside’s Breast and Diagnostic Center is an accredited Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiation for achieving high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs. The center is also accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. Eastside’s Breast Center care team works alongside their comprehensive oncology program, which has been accredited with commendation by the Commission on Cancer since 1998. Ask 12 Italian grandmothers for their tomato sauce recipe, and you will get 13 different answers. They will use tomatoes, olive oil, basil… but the quantities will vary, as will the one special ingredient everyone has.

The same is true in business. Every business has to have a product, clients, and good people, but the specific recipe is unique to each entity. Rebecca Brizi with R G Brizi Consulting examines each business to discover what their special, unique recipe is and builds a plan for all those separate ingredients to function well together so the business owners can focus on what they do best – their craft.

Jay Weiser/Weiser Strategy Group

The Weiser Strategy Group empowers organizations and their leaders to be more successful in the face of constant disruptions and change. While it’s impossible to predict what will happen around us, Jay can and does partner with his clients and their leaders to help them become sustainably prepared, ready, and able to act and adapt no matter the challenge faced, or opportunity presented.

Jay’s POV is holistic, systems-oriented, and integrative. He is a strategic and interdisciplinary in his thinking and pragmatic in his advice and support. His approach is collaborative, customer-centric, people-focused, process-driven, information and technology-enabled. He helps his clients play to win and get results.

While Jay brings over 25 years of business and consulting experience across multiples industries and functions, he knows experience is not enough in today’s turbulent environment. Thinking, learning, adapting, and growing are essential to winning. He is a voracious reader of the latest in management, business and organizational strategy, and leadership and integrates this with what he knows to deliver what is right and best for his clients, not everyone else.

Since 1975, NAWBO has helped women evolve their businesses by sharing resources and providing a single voice to shape economic and public policy. NAWBO is the only dues-based national organization representing the interests of all women entrepreneurs across all industries. The organiztion started as an informal meeting of women business owners in the Washington, D.C. area who met to trade information about federal contracts, bank credit, and other business issues. Every few weeks, more women began attending the group and it became clear that there was a great need for a formal organization devoted to helping women business owners, so NAWBO was created. Today the organization features chapters in almost every metropolitan area in the United States.

Vlad Rusz and Brian Peart
Vlad Rusz and Brian Peart

Don’t Give Up, Even If a Bank Won’t Give You A Loan.

On this episode of “Stategic Insights Radio”, sponsored by Maid Right of Duluth, Sterling Rose Consulting Corp CEO and host Vlad Rusz discusses what funding alternatives exist for small to large size businesses when a bank turns them down for funding.

Vlad’s special guest is Brian Peart, the CEO and Owner of Commercial Capital, a division of the Nexus Financial Group. It was started almost six years ago by Brian to capitalize on the commercial loan requests he was getting from his residential customers. Prior to opening Commercial Capital, Brian Peart worked in the same industry specifically focused on residential lending since 1995.

This episode of “Strategic Insights Radio” answers these and other important questions including:

1) When should a business start looking for funding?
2) What funding sources are available to any size business?
3) What happens if you are rejected? Are their alternatives?
4) Is every bank the right choice for you?
5) What is the timing on getting a loan?
6) What monetary expectations are required for getting a loan?

Brian Peart/Commercial Capital Limited

Commercial Capital Limited is a division of Nexus Financial Group. It was started almost six years ago by Brian L. Peart to capitalize on the commercial loan requests they were getting from their residential customers. Over the years, they have learned the nuances of the commercial lending arena and now have the team in place to provide the great rates and flexibility of a broker with the underwriting knowledge of direct lenders. In so doing, they can fill the void between the local commercial bank with its slow approvals, rigid terms, zero follow-up and restrictive criteria and the “hard money” lenders who will give you 15%+ rates. In fact, they will help structure the deal and can often get the loan approved with banks and lenders that you would be unable to get done. Plus, they are now correspondent lenders with several national banks, which means better pricing for you and your clients. They also have access to all of the nationwide lenders and direct conduits to Wall Street money. As the numbers of deals they handle grow, and the database of lenders that respect their underwriting grows, their ability to provide truly the finest service and terms available is reaching new highs. When you bring your deal to Commercial Capital Limited, you are getting a partner that will help you get the right deal for your dream. At Commercial Capital Limited, no dream is too big!
