Ryan Anderson, Director of Business Sales for Verizon Business Group, joined host John Ray live from the 2025 GNFCC BOLD Women’s Leadership Summit to discuss Verizon’s ongoing support for the GNFCC BOLD Committee, the Chamber generally, and the company’s commitment to empowering small businesses.

Ryan explained that his team works closely with small business customers, from 11 to 350 employees, to help them stay connected and competitive. He highlighted Verizon’s fixed wireless access technology, which provides powerful, business-grade internet in a portable format, and emphasized that Verizon’s role is not to push products but to solve problems for their customers.

Ryan also reflected on the importance of mentorship and allyship, both within Verizon and in the community. He shared how female leaders at Verizon have shaped his career and how his mother’s perseverance still motivates his work. For him and his team, supporting women in leadership is about showing up as allies and paying forward the encouragement they have received.

His organization consisted of over 350 sales professionals across the South focused on servicing the Small Business segment. Previously, John served as the Director of Business Sales in the South Market where he led a team of sales professionals focused on acquiring new customers and growing the customer base in the medium business segment.

Originally from Peabody, MA, John and his family now reside in the greater Atlanta area. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Westfield University. He also serves on the board of the North Georgia Habitat for Humanity.

Mark Bryan is director – Field and Segment Marketing – Verizon Business Group for Verizon, the largest wireless provider with the nation’s largest 4G LTE network. In his role, Bryan is responsible for Marketing activities supporting the $12B Business Markets organization.

During his 14 years with Verizon, Bryan has held positions in the company’s Indirect Sales, Business Sales and Marketing channels as well as its Business Transformation organization.  Bryan is a member of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors and is the Chairman of the Board for Haiti Outreach.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Mercer University and is a certified Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt.

Julie and Larry shared the exciting story of Atlanta’s thriving and growing Mobility market place. As an Atlanta native, I am so proud of everything our Chamber is doing to promote the Atlanta entrepreneurial, start-up technology community. The results are powerful.

They also shared all of the exciting news about the upcoming Mobility LIVE event on October 1st at the Woodruff Arts Center. There are less than 500 available seats. This is a DO NOT MISS EVENT!
