About your Host

Angela Felix has been in technology for over 15 years, but her passion is and always will be helping people. She believes wholeheartedly that there are people you must meet….and people you must experience.

She recognizes the fact that technology pays the bills…or in her words “buys food and toilet paper”, but the real reward is the fulfillment she finds in helping others accomplish their goals. And after nearly losing her sister in April of 2018, Angela realized just how important having hope is, and how sometimes hope is the ONLY thing you have. But it’s that hope that carries us through those dark times. And sometimes, when we’re lucky, someone amazing comes along and shares their hope with us.

About the HIGH HOPES Podcast

With the help of technology, Phoenix Business RadioX, and some dear friends, Angela introduces you to people who are making a positive impact in the world. High Hopes guests are passionate about helping others. They are individuals who’ve run with an idea because they saw a need and want to be a part of the solution, not the problem. Angela believes these folks are out there making a real difference for our youth, homeless, education, veterans, and entrepreneurs; and with that in mind, Angela knows you need to get to know them too. Who knows? Maybe you will be inspired to get involved in some way; or, even kick your own “high hopes” into action.

Orange Theory Fitness of Georgia

I hosted the Area Developers for Orange Theory Fitness of Georgia, Laura Salatino, and Stacie Vaillencort.  These two entrepreneurs brought the fitness concept to the Atlanta area and they’ve grown rapidly in the metro and in Georgia.

Orangetheory Fitness (www.orangetheoryfitness.com) is the energizing group personal training, interval fitness concept that is sweeping the nation. Backed by the science of excess post-‐exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC)
, Orangetheory Fitness is a 60-‐minute workout broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. Participants burn from 500 to 1000 calories per 60-‐minute training session (individual results vary), using a variety of equipment including treadmills, rowing machines, TRX suspension training™ and free weights.  I burned 818 calories in my workout session at OTF.
The physiology behind the Orangetheory Fitness workout involves heart-‐rate -‐monitored training designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. The result is the Orange Effect– more energy, visible toning and extra calorie burn for up to 36 hours post-‐workout. Orangetheory Fitness studios are designed to motivate.
Highly qualified personal trainers inspire participants to beat plateaus and stick to their goals. The dynamic created by working out in a group setting has proven benefits– support, energy, endurance and accountability. This is the
psychology behind Orangetheory Fitness. Each modern studio welcomes participants with upbeat music, state
-‐of-‐the -‐art equipment, contemporary lighting and art. Studios are spacious and clean, with separate men’s
and women’s locker rooms and showers.
And, if you are a business owner or executive, OrangeTheory Fitness offers corporate group rates that allow you to simultaneously provide a terrific benefit to your employees while enjoying decreased healthcare benefits costs as your employees become more and more fit!
