Debora Hornbuckle

Originally from California, Debora Hornbuckle attended cosmetology school in San Francisco. After several years in the industry, she undertook a two-year apprenticeship at Vidal Sassoon in Beverly Hills. Debora remained in Beverly Hills until fulfilling a dream of backpacking through Europe. During this period, she worked in various salons before becoming an independent contractor and eventually establishing her own business, OTP Hair and Make-Up Salon, at Salon Studios Beauty Mall in Roswell, GA.

Debora works with clients of all ages, with a particular focus on men and women over 40. She enjoys creating sophisticated, new looks that help her clients feel confident through life’s transitions. She believes that a well-designed cut and shiny, healthy-looking hair color can help one look youthful, current, and relevant in today’s youth-oriented culture and job market.

A firm believer in continuing education, Debora holds accreditation from the American Board of Certified Colorists, an organization dedicated to raising industry standards for chemical services. To stay current with trends and techniques, she frequently attends hair shows and classes. Recently, she attended a hair show in Chicago and participated in a class on barbering, which proved valuable for working with younger clients.

Through detailed and personalized consultations, Debora takes the time to assess the current needs of each client and uses the best products in the industry to achieve a modern and complementary design. This special treatment often lasts longer and requires fewer trips to the salon for maintenance.

As people age, changing features and skin textures require different makeup applications. Debora teaches men and women how to strategically use color and contouring techniques to achieve an uplifted, youthful appearance. She ensures that when clients leave the salon, they are educated on how to replicate the look on their own.

Bringing Healing Through Community: The Well and Feed the Well BBQ and Biscuit Barn, with Tonya and Darrin Cohen (North Fulton Business Radio, Episode 775)

On this episode of North Fulton Business Radio, host John Ray interviews Tonya and Darrin Cohen about their unique ministry, The Well, and its associated supporting business, Feed the Well BBQ and Biscuit Barn (formerly Fagan’s Biscuit Barn). The Well, which Tonya founded, provides a secure, loving environment where people can share their stories and find healing through the love of Christ. Darrin supports this ministry through the restaurant and catering operations, which donates 100% of its profits to The Well. The Cohens discuss their journey, the impact of their work, and their vision for expanding their ministry both locally and beyond.

John Ray is the host of North Fulton Business Radio. The show is recorded and produced from the North Fulton studio of Business RadioX® inside Renasant Bank in Alpharetta.

The Well

Tonya Cohen established The Well as a non-profit ministry in Cumming, Georgia, in 2021. Inspired by her faith and belief that God called her to this purpose, Cohen started The Well to provide a welcoming community space for people to connect, share their stories in a safe place, and experience the love of Christ.

The Well aims to be an accepting environment with the tagline “Be. Be Real. Be Loved. Belong.” It hosts events to foster community building and offers one-on-one mentorship through its “Total Wellness” program. With facilities like a cafe, gathering areas, and prayer room, The Well creates an inviting atmosphere for people to come together, all supported by Feed the Well BBQ and Biscuit Barn and other donations to the organization.

Feed the Well BBQ and Biscuit Barn

Feed the Well BBQ and Biscuit Barn is a restaurant and catering business that supports The Well ministry’s mission through its profits, operating under the tagline “BBQ with a Purpose.” Formerly known as Fagan’s Biscuit Barn, the business maintains the traditional Southern menu items that made Fagan’s so beloved. The same biscuits Fagan’s has been serving for so many years are the highlight of the breakfast menu, along with other traditional breakfast fare. Long-time lunch entree choices such as chicken tenders, country fried steak, chicken n’ dumplings, and fried chicken are still available, along with a variety of veggie sides. The restaurant remains at its long-time location at 1530 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, GA.

Traditional Southern barbeque has been added to the menu, and it is available for dine-in at the restaurant, delivery, or catered. Whole-hog pork, brisket, chicken, smoked wings, and turkey are just a few of their delicious offerings. Their popular monthly “BBQ Fundraiser” events directly benefit the non-profit ministry’s activities by providing a welcoming space for people to connect.
