Karen Bershad, The Small Business Advisor (North Fulton Business Radio, Episode 665)

Karen Bershad, President of The Small Business Advisor, joined host John Ray on this episode of North Fulton Business Radio. She talked about her work as a Certified Profit First Professional, how she turns bookkeeping into a cash management tool both for owners to get paid first and to manage cash flow more effectively, how her clients benefit from a Profit Assessment, and much more.

North Fulton Business Radio is broadcast from the North Fulton studio of Business RadioX® inside Renasant Bank in Alpharetta.

Karen Bershad, President, The Small Business Advisor

Karen Bershad, President, The Small Business Advisor

The Small Business Advisor is a 27-year-old Certified Profit First advisory and bookkeeping firm. The landscape of the accounting industry is quickly changing, and their firm has been changing with the times very purposely over the last 5 years.

Entrepreneurs are becoming savvier and want to be better at running their businesses but also understanding the numbers. They want to understand why the income statement tells them they had a $30,000 profit this month, but the bank only has $1000. “Where’s the Money?”

While taking another Advisory course Karen was introduced to Profit First. She was immediately drawn into the program and knew this was the next step to create the value her clients needed and the tools to show them where the money is (or went) using the “cash management system” that she was looking for.

Today, The Small Business Advisor has the tools and the knowledge to share with their clients and provides a service most CPAs, bookkeepers, and coaches don’t provide. They are different because we are not just number crunchers, are in the trenches with the client to show/teach them that they don’t come last in their businesses, but they come “first” because they took the risk, the frustrations, and the sleepless nights.

GLUED Global Consulting

A mindfulness-based approach focusing on the secret ingredient to business success, the human element.  GLUED promotes behavior change through better daily health and the art of compounding habits.

Wellness programs are typically a “self-led approach”. They focus on your employees taking a “life-coach approach” centering on personal development through Mindfulness, Mindset and Movement (The M3 Method).

The goal is to dial-in productivity and create a culture of health & happiness.

That’s why the M3 Method focuses on these problems

  • Reducing Stress & Burnout

  • Increase Retention

  • Improve Overall Employee Health

Progress Equals Happiness

When one feels they are progressing, they will show up in all aspects of their life better, especially at work.

When they are happy, you are happy.

Employees that attribute this to the company they work for are loyal.
