
Johnson Venture Partners (JVP) is a micro VC fund investing in high-growth startups in the Southeast. The fund seeks long-term capital growth through a diversified portfolio of startup companies with high potential for growth to acquisition, IPO, or other liquidity event. JVP was founded in 2006 and is based in Atlanta, GA.

Matt Johnson is the Managing Partner of Johnson Venture Partners and has been responsible for the daily operations of the fund since its inception. In his role, Matt identifies and analyzes investment opportunities, performs due diligence, assists portfolio company management teams, and administers all investments made by the fund.
He has executed investments in 30+ venture-backed companies throughout 14 years of fund management experience, resulting in 4 successful exits. Matt is an active member of many regional and national venture investor networks including AIM Group, Florida Funders, Keiretsu Forum, and VentureSouth.
He is a popular public speaker on the topics of startup investing, innovation and entrepreneurship, and has served as a mentor and advisor to numerous startups.
Matt earned a BA in Economics from Clemson University and is currently pursuing an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
