Andy N. Siegel, CPCU, CIC, AAI and President of Siegel Insurance

Andy Siegel, President of Siegel Insurance, grew up in Atlanta. He joined the family business in 1985 upon earning his BBA in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia, and his MBA in Insurance from The College of Insurance in New York. he is a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI).

Volunteering on behalf of Atlanta’s Jewish community, Andy has served on the board of Jewish Vocational Services, which merged with Jewish Family Services in 1995, and he remained as an officer during the year the two organizations combined. Over the past 20 years, Andy has also assisted the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta with their annual fundraising campaign. He has further served on the board of Ahavath Achim Synagogue since 2004, and has co-chaired the Greenfield Hebrew Academy golf outing for the past three years.

Philip R. Kahn, CPA/CFP, Kahnsulting Financial Planning

Philip Kahn CPA, CFP® of Kahnsulting Financial Planning is currently in his 17th year as a fee-only financial planner for small business owners and individuals where he helps his clients focus on documenting and achieving their (often changing) financial goals and objectives. He has experience in business transition, net worth and cash flow analysis, retirement planning, tax analysis and planning, charitable giving, insurance planning, and asset investment allocation analysis. Philip does not manage any of his client’s funds.

Philip spent his first five years working in public accounting with privately held business owners in the audit, consulting and tax areas; three years as a controller for a $70 Million distribution firm (and managed from $3M to $15M in investment assets); CFO for two entities and led the effort to refocus the businesses and created value that led to the sale of the entities to publicly held companies.

Philip has taught financial planning in Georgia Middle Schools and High schools (where financial education should begin!). He has been the Treasurer of a non-profit college funding entity, and continues to serve on the board. Philip is a native of Atlanta and a graduate of the University of Georgia Tull School of Accounting.  He is an active CPA and CFP®.

Bradley S. Hilton is a Financial Advisor at Modera Wealth Management, LLC. Kim Martin/Nadler Biernath LLC

Kim Martin is an attorney at Nadler Biernath LLC. Her practice focuses on trusts and estates, divorce and guardianship issues, with a specialization in planning for families with a special needs family member. Kim has a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Virginia (1990). She earned her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1999). She was admitted to the practice of law in Georgia in 1999. As the mother of two beautiful children, one of whom has autism, Kim brings to her practice an appreciation for the unique challenges and joys of parenting a special needs child.

Before joining Nadler Biernath, Kim was an associate at Lefkoff, Duncan, Grimes, McSwain and Hass, P.C., and an associate in the Estate Planning and Administration group at the Atlanta office of Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams and Martin (now Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams and Aughtry). Brian Sengson/Bennett Thrasher

Brian Sengson is a Manager in the State and Local Tax practice with Bennett Thrasher. Brian specializes in helping clients reduce their effective state tax rates through multi-state tax planning, state credits, and economic development incentives. Brian also provides state tax consulting for M&A due diligence with an emphasis on income/franchise tax, sales and use tax, and unclaimed property.

Prior to joining the firm, Brian managed the tax litigation practice of a national consulting firm specializing in federal and state tax credits for small/medium sized businesses and Fortune 500 companies. Brian earned his Juris Doctorate with honors at Georgia State University and graduated from Lee University Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Business Management. Brian is a licensed attorney with the State Bar of Georgia, and is a member of the Bar’s Tax Law Section in addition to the American Bar Association (“ABA”).

Peter Stathopoulos/Bennett Thrasher

Peter Stathopoulos is a Partner and leads Bennett Thrasher’s State and Local Tax practice. Peter has been practicing in the area of state and local taxation and economic development incentives since 1993. Peter has extensive experience in helping clients reduce their effective state tax rates through multi-state tax planning and in resolving state tax controversies from the audit level through litigation in state trial and appellate courts.

Prior to joining the firm, Peter was a partner with a national law firm and practiced in the area of state and local tax controversy and litigation. Prior to entering private law practice, Peter was a principal consultant in the multi-state tax consulting practice of a Big Four accounting firm. Prior to joining Big Four accounting, Peter was a tax policy attorney with the Georgia Department of Revenue.

Peter has worked closely with state tax and economic development policy makers to represent the business community’s interests. In 2008, Peter helped draft a portion of the Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act as well as legislation that expanded a variety of Georgia tax credits to apply to the broadcasting industry. In 2002, he co-chaired a joint Georgia Department of Revenue/State Bar of Georgia committee that help draft Georgia’s current consolidated income tax return regulations. In 2001, he served on the executive committee of the Business Council of Alabama that helped draft Alabama’s privilege tax scheme. In 1995, he was a tax policy attorney with the Georgia Department of Revenue and led the drafting of regulations for many of Georgia’s current tax credits and acted as a liaison with the Governor’s Economic Development Council.

Kendall Crye of Aging Life Care of Atlanta is committed to helping families provide exceptional quality of life for seniors. With over 16 years of professional experience working with seniors and their families, Kendall understands the delicate balance of navigating the needs of aging clients with family dynamics and financial responsibilities.

Kendall’s interest in working with the aging adult population sparked in her teens, as she volunteered with the elderly in her local Atlanta community. She went on to attain a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Development, with an emphasis in Adults and Aging, from Auburn University.

Since 2000, Kendall’s roles in assisted living facilities have included Life Enrichment Director, Business Manager, Care Coordinator, Director of Resident Care, and Community Relations Director. These experiences have equipped her to understand and manage all aspects of a senior’s life.
