Correction regarding the content on this episode: “The venue for HEMP NY CITY is Cooper Union, not Copper Union.  The most famous speech there was Lincoln’s speech against slavery to the Western Territories.  Charlotte’s oil is called Charlotte’s Web, named after Charlotte Figi who suffered as many as 400 seizures a week.

Joshua Littrell/ Veterans For Cannabis

Founder and CEO

A United States Air Force Combat Veteran who served two tours overseas (Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom) as a Bio-Environmental Engineer focusing on Occupational Health and Environmental Protection in peacetime and nuclear biological and chemical detection and analysis in wartime. Joshua Littrell discovered medical cannabis as a treatment for chronic pain and degenerative disc disease. The effects of cannabis transformed Joshua’s life, allowing him to significantly reduce the amount of prescription medication provided to him by the Veterans Administration and live a clear headed and productive life he’d fearedlost to chronic pain. Armed with a new appreciation for cannabis’s effectiveness and safety and a passion to serve his fellow Veterans, Joshua has worked tirelessly for the past few years to promote legalization of medical cannabis in his home state of Georgia. His goal: to end the needless deaths associated with accidental prescription pain medication overdose and reduce the number of suicides associated with PTSD.
“Veterans For
Cannabis and VFC Foundation. Both are in the business of educating the public as well as
state and federal law makers about the benefits of medical cannabis and how medical cannabis can save countless Veteran
(and civilian) lives across our country (and the world).”

Joe SalomeJoe Salome/Social Joe Marketing & Chief Fire-starter at Halcyon Organics

Founder & CEO

Social Joe Marketing is a Full-Service Marketing Communications Agency located in Atlanta, GA. Social Joe Marketing works with clients to strategize marketing plans & maximize budgets to drive client business goals. Our focus is on Brand Immersion creating fully integrated marketing plans to include Traditional Media,PR, Interactive Solutions, Social Media, Promotions, Sales, and Event Activation. There is no such thing as bad publicity…see any politician that has won office after a scandal Eminem, 2 Live Crew, and any Kardashian.

In today’s ninja sliced advertising world, marketers bombard consumers with messages through phones, tablets, computers,  radio, tv, billboards, video games and anything else that people see, hear, smell, taste, touch or pee on. Consequently, consumers have become skilled at blocking out those sneaky ways of targeting them.

Getting consumers to hear your message through all the other noise is both an art and a science. Social Joe specializes in making your message louder than your competitors’.  Sure, we are traditional marketing and advertising “experts”, but we are also much more.  We are smart, we don’t know what the inside of the box looks like, and we are fearless.

Our specialty is developing campaigns and creating ideas that traditional agencies are scared to touch because well we have balls the size of boulders…yep even the girls.

Bottom line is we start fires and spread them.  And where there’s smoke, there’s Social Joe Marketing…and probably something else burning behind the scenes.

Leslie Deets GBR 08-14Leslie Deets/Concealed Carrie

Founder/CEO

“To become more familiar and comfortable with firearms, I attended a ladies’ defensive handgun class, and later a concealed carry class. In both cases, I was struck by the women who came to class wearing holsters strapped to their bodies or toting less desirable military-style concealed carry bags that were far from feminine. So, being the self-proclaimed fashionista I am, I studied the current trends in women’s high-end handbags and concluded that demand would be high for a concealed carry option that offered the utmost in both style and quality of material.”

With function and fashion in mind, Concealed Carrie developed and designed the entire collection of handbags with practical features that include a separate concealed carry compartment that securely conceals the handgun in a safe yet accessible manner. Removable and adjustable holsters are included and allows users to adapt to their personal preference and directional draw. Several styles also offer a cross-body solution with the use of a removable and adjustable shoulder strap. All of the concealed carry purses include a Concealed Carrie key chain and distinctive fashion tassel.

While all that function is essential, what has already made the Concealed Carrie line so immediately popular with women is our attention to fashion and detail. The rich, all-leather styles of the Classic Carrie line include Ostrich Print and Smooth Computer Carry Alls, fashion-forward Crocodile Print Leather Hobo, Smooth Leather totes, versatile Classic Clutch, Crossbody Compacts, Compacts to “grab and go,” and our most popular, Aged Brown and Aged Black Leather Satchels.  The new Casual Carrie line includes a contemporary Color Block Satchel, Spice and Turquoise Crossbody Compacts and Mustard Compact Carrie.

Concealed Carrie will continue to introduce new styles and colors for their valued customers and plans to design new lines of products in the near future. “Why should women be forced to compromise fashion for function?”

There is a new girl in town and with the introduction of Concealed Carrie, the market for women’s firearms accessories and concealed carry options will never be the same!
