Juergen Gentzke & Rudi Herbst/German American Cultural Foundation (GACF)
Based in Atlanta, the German American Cultural Foundation (GACF) is a non-profit organization established in 2008 by Bernd Auer, Rudi Herbst, Martin Richenhagen, Thomas Gebhard, Teri A. Simmons and Peter Schwarzenbauer.
In 2014, the GACF added 5 new members to the board of directors, and gained corporate sponsorship from Siemens, AGCO, and Porsche, among others. They have partnered with Goethe Zentrum and the German School of Atlanta, and sponsored events such as the Max Raabe concert and the German Bierfest in Atlanta. They hope to further add to the rich cultural landscape of the Atlanta area, and strengthen ties between Germany and the United States.
