In the latest episode of Arizona Good Business, host Thomas Barr sets the stage for a lively conversation centered around community-centric business stories. He kicks things off by introducing the show’s focus and welcoming David DeLorenzo, a seasoned entrepreneur with a diverse background that includes a stint in the music industry with Warner Brothers Records. David shares his fascinating journey from music to insurance, highlighting the pivotal role of passion and adaptability in navigating career transitions.
David delves into the intricacies of the insurance industry, particularly his niche focus on serving the hospitality sector. He candidly discusses the challenges and rewards of working in this dynamic field, emphasizing the importance of empathy and understanding in fostering strong relationships with clients amidst industry upheavals.
The discussion takes an inspiring turn as David shares his vision for “healing hospitality,” a concept aimed at promoting health and wellness within the hospitality community through events and initiatives that prioritize relaxation and rejuvenation. This insightful dialogue underscores the vital role of local businesses like David’s in fostering a vibrant and supportive business ecosystem in Arizona, where community engagement and employee well-being are paramount.
The Arizona Good Business Summit is more than an annual conference~
It’s an opportunity for locally-owned businesses from across the state to connect and grow as leaders in their communities — working together to form lasting. Relationships that create meaningful impact for a stronger, more resilient Arizona.
Healing Hospitality is a 501c3 to help with the physical and mental mindset of people working in the Hospitality business. It is an organization that wants to provide tools in the form of counseling and events to people in the industry that are other wise we feel ignored. We want to help those that want to lead a healthier and more community lifestyle in the form of mental and physical wellness.
David DeLorenzo is a native Arizonan. He attended college at Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing. After college David worked for Warner Bros records distributor, which started a 10 year career in the record entertainment industry. While engaged in the record industry, and armed with marketing knowledge, David opened his first marketing company called Diamond in the Rough Promotions.
While building his business, David discovered a niche market that could use his services: the restaurant industry. He developed his current affordable insurance for all sectors of the hospitality industry. David is a dedicated member of Arizona’s restaurant community, constantly staying current on the bar and restaurant industry, marketing to ensure that he is providing outstanding, quality service for restaurateurs.
In addition, David has built a reputation in the industry based on the trust that he will always look to serve the best interest of his clients in both insurance price and coverage. David is a silent investor of four restaurants in the Phoenix metro area. David feels that by traveling to these restaurants and getting his hands dirty he better understands the needs of the restaurant industry and thus, his client.
David is an avid runner and health fanatic. He is a family man at heart and cherishes the time he is able to spend with family and friends. David also enjoys music and science fiction and has a special place in his heart for Star Wars. “For those that need it, make time he will.”

As a Marine Corps veteran with nearly 25 years of strategic leadership experience backed by multiple graduate degrees from Arizona State and Thunderbird School of Global Management, he realized the plight of leaders, people of influence, and high achievers is losing themselves in pursuit of momentous achievement.
In 2011 Mycal founded Next Level Performance Consulting to build the fittest leaders by empowering Next Level men & women to prioritize their health, eliminate stress and create alignment between their habits and behaviors! Making space to be present for the things that matter: health, wealth, relationships and time.

The Next Level mantra is “Progress Always” because the journey is ongoing and the greatest stories are told through the process that is life. The story is in the logo. Why the 4th Star incomplete? Firstly, the stars are representative of Mycal’s military roots and service to others before self. The highest rank one can achieve in military service is symbolized by 4 stars.
The Next Level stars also represent what we should all be trying to achieve: our highest and best self. Stacked upon the foundation of your physical body, emotional, mental and spiritual states of being. The 4th star is broken because we will forever be a work in progress. This is a never ending journey.
Nicole Anders, CEO of Next Level Performance Consulting, excels in leading the organizational process, coordinating the chaos, and assisting her husband and business partner to help executives and high performers make themselves a priority again by using the Next Level Method. Her value is in her exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to take a vision and project from the starting line to the finish line.

LIVE from SOAHR 2023: Abby England, Abby England Wellness (North Fulton Business Radio, Episode 642)
Abby England, owner of Abby England Wellness, joined host John Ray LIVE at the Business RadioX® remote at SOAHR 2023 to share her journey to becoming a certified wellness coach. Abby also discussed her presentation at the conference, “The Four Pillars of Health,” which are food, sleep, movement, and stress management. She also shared the five principles of nutrition, how to keep moving, and much more.
This show was originally broadcast live from SOAHR 2023, the annual conference of SHRM-Atlanta, held at the Gas South District Convention Center, Duluth, Georgia on March 28th and 29th, 2023. This series of interviews was underwritten by Oberman Law Firm, your legal guide to workplace complexities.
Abby England Wellness is a private health coaching practice that provides one-on-one coaching and group program facilitation to people who want to write their next chapter happier, less stressed, full of energy, confidently achieving their biggest health goals.
In its simplest terms, health coaching is helping people get from where they are today, to where they’d like to be. There is an enormous gap between wanting to be well and the everyday reality of our busy lives.
No two people’s life experiences, gene expression, and current lifestyle are the same so to improve one’s health, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution.
That’s why at the heart of coaching is an individualized approach for each person.
Abby England’s newest chapter in her story is pivoting from a 15 year corporate career to becoming a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and supporting others to achieve their biggest health goals. While this may read like a short story, overcoming her health challenges has taken several years. It’s been a gradual change of habits over many years. Small changes lead to big results. And that’s what she does together with her clients.
Abby is professionally certified and specializes in behavior change to support you in a highly personalized, collaborative setting that helps you achieve your health goals.
