In her series “Shifting Mindsets,” host Patricia Leonard presented Part Three about turning your passion into creative expression and new endeavors.

Patricia invoked motivation through various real-life success stories where individuals were able to realize their dreams despite hurdles. Whether it’s mowing lawns, starting a side hustle, or sharing your art with the world, Patricia noted that every idea is a seed that could grow into your life’s work. She invited listeners to be authentic, break free from societal norms, and take action on their passion to live life without regrets.

Patricia encouraged listeners to join her in the next episode to solidify commitment towards their goal.

What technologies are law enforcement agencies and private-sector businesses adopting to protect public safety through a more informed lens? How can these entities implement these technologies effectively to produce more equitable outcomes, particularly for communities of color? And finally, which decisions should be made by humans and which ones can be made by AI?

The February 2022 episode of the Arizona Technology Council’s TechCast podcast featured public safety experts including Lauren M. Cziok, public safety senior manager at Accenture; Jason Hartford, vice president of Axon devices at Axon; Gretchen Peri, senior director at Slalom and Robin S. Reed, co-founder and principal at EmFluent, LLC and president and CEO of the Black Chamber of Arizona. These leaders joined Steve Zylstra, Council president and CEO, and Karen Nowicki, president and owner of Phoenix Business RadioX, in exploring technology’s role in public safety and how new innovations can help first responders make better-informed decisions in real time.

Throughout this hour-long episode, this panel of public safety specialists explained the recent evolution of public safety technologies to emphasize racial and social equity. They acknowledge that historically, law enforcement has been slow to change, and hasn’t always progressed as quickly as it needs to in order to respond to society’s needs.

He grew up in sunny San Diego and loves visiting his family, playing a round of golf with friends, and many other outdoor activities. Landon tries make a difference in the lives of children in Las Vegas as a part of the leadership team for a local non-profit. He regularly visits the children that we work with to remind himself of why it’s so important to, “be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

Tino Mantella joined TAG in September 2004, having amassed over 20 years of related experience leading two of the nations more prestigious volunteer-driven organizations – National Arthritis Foundation and YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago.

As President and CEO of these two multifaceted and complex charities, he spearheaded agendas that led to the development of innovative new services which resulted in the facilitation of significant membership growth. (MEA) where she focused on attracting new clients and penetrating existing markets through business development.  Cindy had been with NEA/MEA since the spring of 2007, where she started as operations manager, and quickly advanced to director of payer relations.

With her extensive business knowledge and healthcare industry experience, Cindy is a regular speaker at business and national healthcare conferences. She has been asked to participate in panel discussions at electronic data interchange (EDI) conferences, such as the National Dental EDI Council annual conference, where she also serves on the board of directors. She is a regular featured speaker at the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University.

Before embarking on her business career, Cindy spent 17 years in education holding titles of Director of Alumni Affairs, Director of Summer Programs and High School Guidance cCunselor. She holds an Executive Master of Business Administration  degree from Kennesaw State University, a Master of Education degree in Counseling  from University of West Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology  from University of Georgia.

Paige Lillard/ VP Business Excellence, Turner Broadcasting System

Paige Lillard is responsible for the development and attainment of organizational strategies within fifteen business units worldwide including CNN Operations. Key emphasis is placed on developing and supporting high performance leadership teams, balanced strategy development, customer and employee focus, and business process optimization. Since 1978, David Harper has worked with companies in the design and implementation of executive benefit plans providing both qualified and nonqualified plan solutions.
